Aegir Insights’ latest analysis, done with Aegir Quant, provides insights into almost 350 projects across 10 European markets, exploring different technology scaling scenarios and comparing them against current and announced monopile supply chain capabilities.
Turbine size: We evaluated projects having potential COD until 2035, and turbine size up to 22 MW.
Monopile diameter: 99% of projects are predicted to have a monopile diameter of 15 m or below, while 79% of the projects have a predicted monopile diameter of 11 m or below.
Conclusion: This simulation scenario indicates that several players will be able to technically meet project requirements with current and announced upgrades.
