Denmark is aiming for 3 GW projects in the near-term. Demand growth and cross-border collaborations will define the outlook in the longer term
By end of this year Denmark is expected to re-launch the auction of 3 GW sites with a revised auction framework including 20-year two-sided capability CfDs. During this summer, the industry has been invited for a market dialogue in preparation of the auction launch.
If these auctions are successful, the sites would double Denmark’s current operational offshore wind capacity.
