Southern Europe is slowly floating forward

With no auctions launched to date, the region’s progress depends on faster approvals, offtake security and policy momentum.
UK gears up for Allocation Round 7 (AR7)
At RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind 2025, the industry came together to discuss urgent actions needed to reach UK and global offshore wind deployment goals for 2030. The UK Government is targeting 12 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 across the next three CfD allocation rounds, creating high interest for the upcoming CfD AR7 and beyond. With a strong pipeline of fixed-bottom projects and potential reforms to CfD eligibility criteria, the upcoming AR7 round is shaping up to be highly competitive.
