We are looking for a Sales Manager

Sales Manager to join a fast-growing technology-driven intelligence company serving the offshore wind industry.

Based in Copenhagen, Aegir Insights is a leading provider of decision-making software, data, and intelligence for the offshore wind sector, serving a global client base across corporate, financial, and governmental segments.

We are growing fast and now looking to expand our commercial department with an experienced sales professional who can help drive our new business efforts and build a pipeline of new clients, contributing to revenue growth.
We imagine you have experience selling complex solutions with a focus on consultative approaches, and a proven ability to develop meaningful relations and drive sales processes to the end. You may even have experience selling data and insights to clients in the energy sector.

Your role in Aegir Insights:

As a Sales Manager, you will be reporting to our VP of Sales and Business Development, while working collaboratively with management, client engagement & advisory, marketing, and our research, data and solutions teams.

You will help drive the execution of our commercial strategy, selling unique subscription-based offerings to leading offshore wind developers, investors, and governments around the world. This position requires a strong hunting personality, a tenacious appetite to get things done quickly, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to act in a consultative capacity in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Aegir provides sophisticated solutions that require in-depth introductions to offshore wind professionals. You will have your own set of opportunities to drive, with responsibility for presenting offerings, advancing commercial dialogues, closing agreements, and initiating the trusted long-term client relationship. You will also impart your knowledge and expertise in sales excellence and provide support to the broader commercial team. And you will be expected to bring solid project management skills to build and maintain a strong plan, as well as experience with growth strategy and activities.

Your profile:

We imagine that you have an academic background in finance, business (marketing, sales), or economics. Your experience within sales has ideally prepared you to take responsibility for driving prospective client dialogues forward. The ideal candidate is an independent team player with strong sales credentials within the data, analytics and intelligence field, and an established network in the offshore wind industry. Existing close working relationships with commercial executives at offshore wind developers is a major plus.

The offshore wind market is complex. It is key that you can understand market dynamics and view things from the developer perspective enabling you to help prospective clients better understand how they can make smarter and faster decisions utilising the Aegir toolchain.

We imagine that you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A proven ability to analyze & generate business opportunities through new business.
  • Experience in building and maintaining a pipeline of high-quality opportunities.
  • Experience with, and effective execution of, a solution-based strategic sales process. (Demonstrated success in SAAS sales - a plus)
  • An understanding of the offshore wind / energy space and demand for decision making tools.
  • Experience using CRM tools, such as HubSpot.
  • The ability to thrive in a team where drive and willingness to be ”hands-on” is everyday life.
  • Excellent English language and communication skills (additional languages a plus).
