The Dutch offshore wind market has been through some turmoil recently.
Late October, the Netherlands, like other markets in Europe, experienced an unsuccessful offshore wind auction as no bids were submitted for the Nederwiek I-A site.
However, approximately a month earlier, the at that time demissionary cabinet announced its move toward a re-introduction of support by proposing an allocating of EUR 948m in the Dutch 2026 national budget to support 2 GW of new offshore wind capacity and a general revision of the legislative framework, which if adopted, would enable an introduction of 2-sided CfDs by 2027.
After these recent events, how does the road ahead for offshore wind in the Netherlands look like?
Our Principal – Regional Lead Europe Thomas Young Hwan Westring Jensen will be speaking on Dutch offshore wind, the current status and future outlook for the market at Offshore Energy's 2025 conference in Amsterdam on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.
