Aegir Insights turns six years old this month! And it has been a whirlwind of a journey.
What began as an idea in a Copenhagen café in 2018 has, over the years, grown into a global renewable energy intelligence platform supporting investors, developers, governments and suppliers across markets and technologies.
Over the last six years, we have progressed:
🔹from side project, to full-time commitment in 2020,
🔹 from our first customers to innovation funding, angel investment, and a Series A round in early 2024
🔹 from a single office to a team operating across Denmark and Canada,
🔹 from an initial MVP in offshore wind, to a unified platform spanning also onshore wind, solar PV, and storage / hybrid projects—developed in close collaboration with industry and academia.
But our mission remains unchanged.
The energy transition is essential for long-term economic stability, energy security, and climate resilience. Achieving it requires faster renewable deployment and more predictable, investable decision environments.
Aegir Insights enables renewable energy professionals to assess opportunities and risks across technologies within one coherent framework, supporting confident investment decisions through bankable intelligence and rigorous analysis.
Looking ahead, we are preparing our most ambitious product release to date, focused on deeper collaboration and more efficient decision-making across renewable investments.
