At Aegir Insights we have had a busy start to the new year, with many new faces recently joining us. Meet our newest team members across our Research, Data, Client Engagement, Sales and Technology Team!

We are very proud to have a highly diverse team of 15 different nationalities, educational backgrounds, and close to a 50/50 gender split to develop the best solutions and ideas for the green energy transition.

Technology Team:

• Katherine Dykes joins as Head of Engineering. She comes from a position at DTU - Technical University of Denmark where she has been a longtime collaborator with Aegir from her time as Head of Center, DTU-Total Energies Excellence Center (DTEC) and previously as Head of Section in Wind & Energy Systems. Prior to DTU Katherine worked in National Renewable Energy Laboratory and has over 15 years of experience leading research projects and teams in the areas of wind energy system design and optimization, technoeconomic analysis, and system integration, seeking to accelerate the green transition through research, innovation, and technology demonstration.
  
• David Lankester joins as Chief Product & Technology Officer, based in Calgary, Canada. He previously had the position as Vice President – Engineering at Enverus, where he led the development of their flagship single solution intelligence platform. David has over 20 years of experience within Engineering and Development, has co-managed international teams of ~40 to 250 engineers, developers, DevOps, QA and product owners, and has a history of combining product management and technical operations leadership to successfully achieve strategic business objectives.
  
• Lee Gray joins Aegir as Head of Development. He’s also based in Calgary, Canada and has over 20 years of experience as a technical leader, building world class products and teams. Lee comes from Enverus, where he was the Director of Software Development and where he has been one of the founding members of the company’s energy intelligence platform. He focuses on designing and building software solutions with a large emphasis on User Experience (UX) and performance.

Research Team:

• Marios Dimos Chatzisideris joined us as Senior Market Analyst. He holds a PhD from DTU focused on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of renewables with battery storage and has most recently worked as a Sustainability & LCA Specialist at Maersk.
• Signe Tellier Christensen is our new Market Analyst. She has worked with offshore wind and renewable energy at the Danish trade council in the UK and Ireland for the last 1,5 years, and she has a MSc in Economics from University of Copenhagen.

Data Team:

• Ioana S. Muresan joined us as Data Product Lead. She holds a PhD in numerical modelling, has a background in geodetics from DTU and has most recently worked as Lead Specialist at Ørsted, focusing on projects in the US and APAC.
• Marton Lenart extends our data team as Junior Analyst, while studying a Master’s in Data Science and Business Administrations at Copenhagen Business School.
• Sirui Liu adds to our data team as Junior Analyst. She studies Business Administration and Data Science, MSc at CBS.
• Marla Cruz Yedra joined us as Junior Analyst. She’s currently studying Business Administration and Data Science, MSc at CBS.

Client Engagement & Advisory Team:

• Laura Fecova, our new Senior Associate, joined us from Ørsted, where she held different positions across Finance and was also a part of the Commercial Floating Offshore Wind Business Development team as a Business Developer. She has a MSc in Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
• Oliver Laursen joined us as Junior Associate and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Economics at the University of Copenhagen.

Sales Team:

• Mario Garzón González joined Aegir as our new Business Development Manager. He most recently worked as Senior Regulatory Advisor at Ørsted, where he focused on regulatory and public affairs in the Iberian Region.
